A mid layer jacket that is worn in either a stand-alone manner or in conjunction with a wet weather protective jacket. A materials package with increased air permeability and consideration for use under plate carriers and packs ensures a wide comfort zone for wearers who may be unable to transition layers during the course of the task. A more form-fitting pattern offers greater thermal-efficiency while still allowing the Atom to be paired with accompanying LEAF base and mid layers. Increased wind and moisture resistance allow the jacket to function as an outer layer in mild wind and rain or snow.
